I joined MMIC in 2022 and lead the Oligonucleotide Manufacturing Grand Challenge which encompasses the development of a novel liquid phase synthesis method using Nanostar Sieving and a Biocatalytic approach to synthesis.
A third strand on digital tools to increase the speed of process development will start in the near future.My previous role was leading a portfolio of API manufacturing technologies with AstraZeneca including continuous manufacturing, using experience gained from 14 years in API Process Development at early and late phase. I have a PhD from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
