Jan Modregger
Director of Biocatalysis, Biosynth
Dr. Jan Modregger holds a PhD in Physiological Chemistry from the University of Cologne, Germany, and worked as a research associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Yale University, New Haven. In 2010, Dr. Modregger received a fellowship for the executive MBA program of the Institute for Management, Salzburg and completed his MBA in 2013.
After serving EUCODIS Bioscience as Head of Research and Development and CEO for several years, Dr. Modregger is currently the director of the Biocatalysis teams of Biosynth, responsible for enzymes, biocatalysis and fermentation processes. In this role, he promotes the transformation of classical chemical processes into sustainable, enzyme-based processes using microbial systems and renewable resources within the organization and in customer projects.
