Thanos Andreou, Global New Product Innovation Manager at Biosynth, joined the group following the acquisition of VIO in 2023, where he was responsible for Innovation R&D for 3 years. Previously, he served the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients generic industry for 12 years in R&D and Scientific Affairs roles.
At Biosynth, he drives the efforts of weaving the multidisciplinary expertise, talent and inspiration around unmet market needs, to create value from innovative products and technologies.
He obtained his Chemistry BSc and Pharmacy MSc degrees from the University of Athens and the National Hellenic Research Foundation and his PhD under the guidance of Professor Jaume Vilarrasa at the Department of Organic Synthesis of the University of Barcelona.
He has co-authored over 20 scientific papers and holds more than 15 patents.
